Barnabas, Korty EO
Today, during set-up, Barnabas showed me a girl on YouTube- Korty EO. Quoting him, “She kind of reminds me of you. The vibe and stuff” He said “I’ve seen some of your works” talking about the way I talk about myself through my writings. So I decided to check her out, right away…
I think I took a liking to her straight up because she was a young content creator and she had nice videos aaannnnddd because of one thing she said in one of her videos “I love love“
Though I do not really see everything Barnabas said and how it is relative to me, I’m sure we agree there’s a great distance of the difference between me and Korty. I saw her video she did on sex and uhmmm… Honestly, I can’t even gather the sort of people she did to talk about sex. I’m not sure I’d rapport with a ‘secular’ artist as she does. I’m not even sure I can start a vlog. Maybe I should try out a podcast.
PS: I saw that video in Church.
I don’t know how Korty EO is pulling it but I definitely couldn’t have those people on my contacts list. I’d be a mighty rebel!😅
Speaking of Rebels, Can we talk about Ayra Starr 😅

Don Jazzy, Ayra Starr.
I can dare say I’m one of the first 50 persons to stream her album, 19 and Dangerous, on Audiomack. The sad thing is I don’t have a screenshot proof. I saw the tweet about it on Twitter from Don Jazzy and some hype about it so I decided to try it out.
Listened to the first song, The Gen Z anthem and I felt the song wasn’t relatable to me. ‘I’m not a rebel’ I said to myself. Caution and Restraint are very key values I uphold, thus it’d be wrong one time if I just start singing if I cast, then I cast yea…
I can only sing that when I’ve done a good rebellious act like giving all my pocket money into the gospel against caution…
I also felt it was unrelatable to me because anything-they-talk-they-talk to me was risky!😅
I’m a guy who has grown in faith and in the faith. If there’s any group of people that’d talk and I’d pay attention to their talk is members of the household of faith! So anything they wan talk, they talk? Omo! That’s not me, biko😅
And you know, at the moment when I listened to the song, I was a little sad.
And the sad energy was created by my thoughts on a few mishappenings from a few guys from church. Hearing the song could have inspired the wrong thoughts and subsequent reactions but I shook it off and listened to Fashion Killer and it was quite the same thing. Unrelatable. Listened to lonely… Ahhh, there was one spot. Listened to Beggie Beggie… Ahh, the spot at last. But I didn’t want to feel sorry for myself too much so I abandoned the album of the ‘lady that sounds like Tems’

Marvel, Tems, Ayra Starr.
I’m a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and I saw Tems song on the cover and decided to check it out on my Spotify later. Lousy Spotify shuffled the playlist with Ayra.
Listened to it ‘open-mindedly’ (if that’s a word) and found out that though as wild-mouthed Ayra is, her lyrics aren’t that bad.
I can’t honestly say I’ve listened to all her songs on 19 and Dangerous but I know it is more than last year.😅
Truth is I still feel some of her songs are not still relatable. Though the songs, just like a book is a sneak-a-peak into her and thus it doesn’t really have to be relatable.
I don’t know what she was trying to pass across in A Colour Show (ASE) but it’s not my deal even though I now have to consciously replace her F word with just F.
But if I may come clean
My favourite songs by her are
-Bridgertn
-Stars
-Karma
-Toxic
But trust me, these songs help me to get writing inspiration on the Rebellious Gen Z Teens😅
PS: I’m not a fan of Ayra’s fashion killer sense. That is not of my business
Lost track of Date.
Friend, Johnny Drille, Ayra Starr.
I found a friend who listens to Johnny Drille as I do. We talk about his music and then Ayra Starr comes into the light thanks to the duo In the Light.
Maybe there I opened my mind to listen to the young girl who may have been misguided by this Gen Z theory. I mean who wouldn’t want to listen to what a 19 years old girl has to say?
Lost track of Date.
Korty EO, Ayra Starr, Rema, London
I watched Korty EO’s video with Ayra Starr, London and Rema and I realize Ayra is more spiritual than she seems. Did she just talk about Jesus in that video? Cause what in the world?!
Come to think of it
Why do many celebrities tend to place God in very unsuspecting place in their lives and look so ungodly outside?
Did London say he was a Church boy before? What happens now?!
Did Rema say his sword necklace is representing the Word of God sharper than a two-edged sword?
By the way, London is a music producer. If you ever heard a song and then you heard a voice that echoed ‘London’ in the song, he produced the song.
These ones could really take a lesson from Johnny Drille.
One Wednesday like that sha...
Ayra Starr.
Ayra becomes WCW.
Inhabits my WhatsApp DP for the day and later is removed.
2nd August 2022.
Compiling all this piece, listening to Live Your Best Life by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and seeing Korty EO’s video again, I totally do not judge Ayra. She does have a beautiful life. I only wish and pray that she grows more in the knowledge of who Jesus truly is.
I’m wondering why I didn’t write this earlier on her birthday.
Anyways…
Oh my God, I just realized that I digressed from Korty!😅
I’d be back in my next blogpost!

This is mad. This is mad. This is mad. You be Wilding man!!!
Sorry, that’s a Gen Z term. 😃😃
I agree with you. Restraints are my biggest principle too. Constraints. Restraints.
Funny how I want to be as the air, yet Constrain is my greatest principle. Contrast?? You bet.
Your writing style is intriguing.
Why did I not find this blog sooner???🥰🥰🥰
You curated a playlist, a watch list and a podcast list in a single post.
Forget Ayraa Starr… I can relate to you.
