When I look at Nigeria, sometimes I look at a country with a failed system. Sometimes I look at the country with a sense of
hope. Sadly, hope that many has lost. Not that I blame
them, they lost hope and faith because of the bad governance,
failure of the educational system, deep rot within our morals
inspite of our acclaimed faith, high unemployment rate, the economy, insecurity. Nigeria’s problems they say, is endless.

Nigeria, they say, cannot be redeemed. They complain and
criticize even with the awareness that what they are doing won’t help.
As a teenager that believes in God and God first, l’d only look at this in these ways.
First, with what God’s word has taught me over the years and
with what l’ve seen when at least 3 billion people prayed in
unity as regarding nations of the world and the covid fiasco, l’m more convinced that prayer works. So l’d recommend it anytime.
It’s even God’s instruction, if we want to live a peaceful life in
all honesty. He told us that life and death are in our tongue. He
then advised us to choose life. He also told us that if we’d will
just obey,we’d eat the good of the land.
The words we uttered for our nation or against it would actually go to bring the things we’ve said.
However this has been thought to be illusionary because we
don’t expect God to come down and do the things we are supposed to do. They insist for over sixty years,we’ve been praying and yet nothing.
Oh really you complain and yet say you’ve been praying yet
nothing. I know for a fact that it’s this sect of people who don’t
pray for their country when the prayer point comes up. Yet they’d tell you they have been praying.
Even for a fact, I know before Nigeria jaga jaga song
came out in the early 2000s, a lot of people had lost faith in the nation.
Truth is really we haven’t been praying for our country the way
we should. Let’s not keep lying to ourselves that we’ve been
praying. Did you know things would be a lot worse if the sporadic prayers you’ve prayed were not prayed at all? Do me a favor and tell me the last time you said to yourself It’s time to pray for this country.
Next up.
I’d then tell them, standing on the sidelines and criticizing is not going to help if you don’t take an action. In fact it is better to shut up.
Don’t come and criticize and tell me you’re not going to help in the way forward, Just shut up instead.
Nations are not brought up by critics. Rebels that wreck nations started by criticizing and followed up with actions of violence that brought about what they wanted.
Same thing with the positive side. Its not right to stand in the
sidelines and express your ‘valid’ opinions and stay quiet in the
solution.
I tell young people to take up responsibility by studying, getting
acquainted with leadership and join politics if they have to.
But most times, they give the excuse of politics being too dirty
and shady that there’s no way one could go there and have his
character untainted.
Nigeria they insist is devoid of good role. models that could inspire the ideas of joining politics.
However I’m more firm that they could be the first, they could
shine as light in a dark world and inspire others.
My plea ‘is if you aren’t satisfied with the way you’re living would you bring your children into the same world? If not for yourself, at least
for the sake of the unborn give them the true meaning of a nation.’
If not the cycle would never end.
When they complain of the jobs l’m compelled to tell them to
be creative, value relationship with people and know God.
Kindly add books to that list too.
Check this out to see my school of thought.
But, you see, l’m also going to come clean.
More than ever, we’re near Christ imminent return. One of the
signs we know is the perplexities of nations. Unfortunately for
Nigeria, she was in a very bad state before the signs became
even more real. Unfortunately the bible didn’t leave out a nation in these prophecies.
With what we’ve been taught by the word, the perplexity of nations is only a sign then comes rapture.
After this is the reign of the Antichrist that’d rule this earth
over those who are left behind for a period of three and a half years. These periods Jesus warned us about, is going to contain evil the world hasn’t seen since it’s foundation.
Tip? Anticipate the rapture.
So I can’t help but wonder, is there really hope for Nigeria? Is
there hope for the people who’d live in it ? They’d attribute all
the badness to the government (which actually is from them). Only that things have grown from worse to worst.
Assuming the close of age was maybe a hundred or two, far,
There’s no doubt that these things I’ve written would work.
However, this doesn’t mean that we should drop hope and
faith and watch; anticipating the rapture.
It might look as if I’m indirectly making a conflict with my
points above but it isn’t amidst this situation we give up
praying and doing the things we’re supposed to do while
clinging on to faith and hope and anticipating His soonest return.
All this, at the end of the day, narrows to our intercessory
duties as priest and the actions we’d take as kings.
PS kings don’t complain.
