A friend was feeling sad because of how kids boast of a easy
life; They boast about getting first class and they study
passionately. She said little do they know that there’s going to
be a struggle at the end of the day even with first class.
Her sadness, I deduced, was centred on the failing system
Actually, I’m glad some people still have hope even within this
failing system and most importantly, are ready to do what it
takes.
Here’s what I told her
Actually when they say such things, leave them.
Don’t get sad. This are words that would go into their future to
frame it for them. That’s the plain principle of words.
Many times I do that, I boast even in the this failing system.
It’s a sense of hope. Is it not better to let them have hope at least in this age? They, in fact, don’t necessarily have to go through the things people do to get a job. Everyone’s life aren’t the same. So when someone boast like that, let him. You don’t know what his future holds.
The truth stands ‘What you’re going to be in the next ten, twenty years would depend on the kind of books you read and the people you meet’
So two things, Read then Meet People.
I can vouch for you that they’d work. They work all the time.
Even at this fact, The truth about all this things is this Our system needs the extreme brilliant guys because of the small job quotas. Hence you’re needed to be creative. That
creativity would help you as well as the people you meet.
If you check Jobberman, you’d find out that there are jobs just that many times the guys they need are First class graduates of which our university turns out in low quantity, then second class upper.
How can you carry a third class and try to compete with a first
class? You should have upped your game in the Uni. Worst of
all, you don’t even know anyone and you’re not creative!
You think Joseph just became a prime minister like that?
The Bible says the gift of a man shall make a way for him…
Your gift whether skills or talent so far is creative makes a way
He had the ability to interpret dreams. He knew Portiphar, He
knew the king’s cup bearer and baker.
Do you think he wasn’t friendly with these guys when they
were in prison? He met these guys and they connected him to
the king.
Even though you did not graduate with the nice
grades, You are educated. Your mind is quite refined. If you
put it to work, it’d produce value.
There’s this lady who sells drinks in wholesale here. I look at
her and it looks like she’s struggling and I’m like didn’t she
meet people during her uni years.
There’s also one who decided not to practice Biochemistry
that she studied and passed with good grades, she went into
her passion; hair and make up and business (household
utensils and stuff)
Right now things are quite okay for her. She met people( she
even gets international orders) and she’s smart and creative.
The other is quite the opposite. Looking at the quality of
friends she have is so irritating!
I can vouch by her friends and lifestyle, she probably didn’t pass with the nice grades in her Uni.
As I am, I don’t lose track of people. (That doesn’t mean I let
all kind of people into my life.) Even though sometimes you might screw up, We’d easily reconcile ’cause I might need your help. You might need mine
If you are good, there’d be people who’d notice and like to favour you.
Don’t complain everything in Nigeria is by connection.
Everything in life is by connection. Even to God, Jesus is the
connection.
